Transervice uses Logistadvise acquisition to launch IT solution

The Los Angeles-based logistics provider’s new proprietary software platform will connect via EDI or API and includes TMS, freight marketplace, analytics, and load tracking.    Los Angeles-based logistics provider Transervice Logistics Inc. has started what it calls a “technology-based freight management entity,” the company said in a statement.
   Dubbed Transervice Integrated Solutions (TIS), the new entity has been formed on the back of Transervice’s recent acquisition of logistics technology company Logistadvise.
   “The acquisition provides the TIS team with a proprietary software platform that emphasizes automation, efficiency and cost-savings when executing shipments,” said Transervice.
    In addition, TIS will leverage proprietary technology to fulfill company backhauls and provide freight management and brokerage services. The platform includes a transportation management system, a freight marketplace, load tracking, freight and capacity analytics and reporting.
   The platform can be connected via electronic data interchange (EDI) or application programming interface (API) and integrated to existing industry-related software, the company said. The platform can be operated by the user, or by TIS.
