Oracle updates transportation-trade software

Oracle updates transportation-trade software    Oracle Corp. said Monday it is releasing versions 6.2 of Oracle Transportation Management and Oracle Global Trade Management.
   The software “provide additional transportation and global trade management support through enhanced fleet management, transportation sourcing, transportation business intelligence, transportation planning, small parcel transportation, rail transportation, dock scheduling, product classification and trade control determination,” Oracle said.
   It said the new releases would “help reduce transportation costs, increase operational efficiency, improve customer service, decrease supply chain lead times and mitigate supply chain and trade compliance risk by further standardizing and automating processes” and deliver “process integration between Oracle Global Trade Management and Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.”
