American Airlines starts Boston/Shannon flights

American Airlines starts Boston/Shannon flights American Airlines Tuesday started a direct, daily non-stop service between Boston’s Logan International Airport and Shannon, Ireland, as well as a non-stop service between Logan and Montreal.
   At the same time, American has resumed seasonal non-stop services from Logan to Paris, and from Logan to Manchester, England.
   The Boston/Shannon route uses a Boeing 757 aircraft operating on a daily basis during the peak summer season and five days a week for the rest of the year.
   American said it carries about 10 percent of air cargo between the United States and Ireland on services via other European countries.
   American Eagle, American’s regional airline affiliate, operates the four flights per day Boston/Montreal route with Embraer Regional Jets.
   The Boston/Paris flight uses a Boeing 767-300 aircraft, providing direct, daily non-stop service to Charles De Gaulle Airport. The Boston/Manchester daily non-stop service uses a Boeing 757 aircraft.
