WFS to handle cargo for LTU in Miami

WFS to handle cargo for LTU in Miami    Worldwide Flight Services has won a three-year contract to provide cargo-handling services in Miami for German airline LTU International.
   LTU operates five flights a week during the summer and four services a week in its winter schedule between Dusseldorf and Miami. Its Airbus A330 planes carry more than 4.5 million kilos a year on the route, including a high volume of perishables.
   LTU has contracted with WFS to provide cargo warehousing, customer service and documentation, and customs clearance in Miami and trucking between the airport and Fort Myers to connect with the airline’s additional service to Florida’s West Coast.
   WFS was also recently awarded cargo handling for Leisure Cargo at Halifax International in Canada and Air Europa in New York’s JFK International Airport. Air Europa and LTU are partners of Leisure Cargo, which specializes in cargo sales and marketing for tourism focused carriers.
