Hackers hit UPS Store

   The UPS Store is the latest company to report a large data breach that jeopardizes its customers information. The retail shipping outlet of parcel delivery company UPS said it discovered malware on systems at 51 locations, or about 1 percent of its 4,470 franchise centers, in the United States.
   Customers who used a debit or credit card between Jan. 20 and Aug. 11 may have had their information — names, postal addresses, email addresses and payment card info — exposed. UPS said it eliminated the malicious software and that all its locations are now digitally secure.
   Each franchise location is individually owned and runs independent private networks that are not connected to other franchised center locations.
   The UPS Store is providing an information website, identity protection and credit monitoring services to customers whose information may have been compromised.
