“Absolutely, positively” busted
U.S. Customs officers seized a shipment of marijuana at the FedEx facility at Memphis International Airport in late July, the agency said last Friday.About 400 pounds of drugs were found hidden in concrete pillars after the shipment was targeted for inspection prior to arrival at the FedEx hub based on the unusual manifest description of a “stone chimney.”
The package contained six pillars of concrete and test drilling revealed the leafy substance. Immigration and Customs Enforcement took over the investigation and recently arrested the consignee after he took delivery of the pillars. The subject is being held in custody awaiting deportation.
