Deutsche Post makes Allan head of logistics division

Deutsche Post makes Allan head of logistics division    Deutsche Post World Net, Europe’s largest postal service and owner of DHL and more recently Exel, has appointed former Exel Chief Executive Officer John Allan to its management board, in charge of the enlarged logistics business following the recent 5.6-billion-euro ($6.6-billion) takeover of the U.K.-based logistics company.
   Allan’s contract runs for three years. He will assist in the integration of Exel into DHL Logistics.
   Allan replaces Frank Appel who will now head Deutsche Post’s newly created global corporate services corporate division. In addition, Appel is taking over responsibility for the global customer solutions department.
