DANISH MULTIPURPOSE SHIP OPERATORS ENTER ALLIANCE    Denmark’s Clipper Elite Carriers and Thor Chartering have entered a commercial and strategic alliance, controlling a joint fleet of about 60 mulipurpose vessels ranging in size from 1,200 to 12,000 deadweight tons.
   “By combining its resources the alliance will improve market access and optimize utilization of the combined fleet,” a spokesman for Clipper said.
   Both companies offices, including Clipper’s offices    in Singapore, Australia and the United States, will promote the alliance commercially.
   Clipper Elite Carriers and Thor Chartering said that they believe that consolidation is “a natural step forward in the multipurpose market.”
