September forum focuses on capital markets, ports A forum entitled “New York Maritime Matters: Capital Markets: Today and Tomorrow” will be held on 4-6 p.m., Sept. 20th at the Lincoln Center Campus of Fordham University School of Law.
   Sponsored by New York Maritime and the Fordham University School of Law, the event will include a panel discussion led by Peter Shaerf, managing director at AMA Capital Partners, that will discuss the volatile shipping capital markets. Participants include Sophocles Zoullas, chief executive officer of Eagle Bulk; John Wobensmith, chief financial officer of Genco Shipping & Trading; and Omar Nokta an analyst with Dahlman Rose.
   A second panel moderated by AMA’s Jim Dolphin, will focus on capital requirements for port infrastructure projects. It will feature Julie Nelson, deputy administrator for the U.S. Maritime Administration; and Craig Fuehrer, managing director of Deutsche Bank. Steve Edwards, CEO of Ports America, has also been invited.
