Pirate attack ship with North Korean crew    Pirates on Monday hijacked a chemical tanker in the South Somali Basin, 180 nautical miles northwest of the Seychelles, the European Union’s Maritime Security Center for the Horn of Africa said.
   The 22,294-deadweight-ton tanker Theresa VIII was heading for Mombasa, but turned around and is heading north. The ship is owned by a Virgin Islands company and operated from Singapore with a crew of 28 North Koreans.
   The center also reports that on Monday in the Gulf of Aden, a Ukrainian cargo ship Lady Juliet was attacked by pirates in small skiffs firing Kalashnikovs and rocket propelled grenades. A vessel protection detachment onboard returned fire and the skiffs broke off their attack. There are no casualties onboard the ship and it is not confirmed if any of the attacking pirates were injured.
