Lighthizer swears in new deputy USTR for investment

U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer on Tuesday swore in C.J. Mahoney as deputy U.S. trade representative for investment, services, labor, environment, Africa, China, and the Western Hemisphere.    U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer on Tuesday swore in C.J. Mahoney as deputy U.S. trade representative for investment, services, labor, environment, Africa, China, and the Western Hemisphere, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) said.
   The swearing-in took place one day after Lighthizer on Monday swore in Dennis Shea to serve as U.S. ambassador to the World Trade Organization and Gregg Doud to serve as USTR chief agricultural negotiator.
   The Senate confirmed Mahoney March 1.
   From 2008 to his nomination in July, Mahoney was an attorney practicing in Williams & Connolly’s White Collar Practice Group, where he mainly focused on international arbitration and commercial litigation.
