Maersk modifies Asia/Europe services

Maersk modifies Asia/Europe services    Maersk said it is making changes on two of its Asia/Europe services.
   It will add a new port call into Hamburg, Germany, on its AE10 service. The first AE10 vessel to call Hamburg will be Maersk Sydney, voyage 1002 with an estimated day of departure from Shanghai on Jan. 12 and arrival in Hamburg on Feb. 11. The company said it will offer two sailings per week from Shanghai, Yantian and Hong Kong to Hamburg.
   “This gives us a strong position to expand our coverage of the German market,” the company said.
   The company also said it would modify its AE7 service to improve transit time into Felixstowe from major East and South Asia ports. The company said its ships will arrive one day earlier into Felixstowe, Saturday instead of Sunday, and increase capacity, starting with the voyage of the Estelle Maersk, voyage 1002.
