Wan Hai, PIL and “K” Line merge two China/Middle East services

Wan Hai Lines and Pacific International Lines, together with 'K' Line, have agreed to merge two services, the China Middle East and China Straits Gulf, into a new service from North China to the Middle East.
   The new service will begin from early November with weekly sailings, using six 4,250-TEU vessels. Wan Hai will provide three vessels, PIL two vessels and 'K' Line will provide one vessel in this joint service.
   'The new joint service will provide a comprehensive coverage in China while ensuring reliable and efficient connections from China to Middle East with a transit time of 22 days from Qingdao to Jebel Ali,' the carriers said in a statement. 'The new joint service will also enhance the existing network of the three lines in the Asian region.'
   The port rotation for the new service will be: Qingdao (Sunday-Monday). Lianyungang (Monday-Tuesday), Shanghai (Wednesday-Wednesday), Ningbo (Thursday-Friday), Hong Kong (Saturday-Saturday), Shekou (Sunday-Sunday), Singapore (Thursday-Thursday), Port Kelang (Friday-Saturday), Jebel Ali (Saturday-Sunday), Bandar Abbas (Monday-Tuesday), Karachi (Thursday-Friday), Mundra (Friday-Saturday), Port Kelang (Friday-Saturday), Singapore (Sunday-Monday), Hong Kong (Thursday-Friday), and Qingdao.
