Uremovich fills new post at Pacer

Uremovich fills new post at Pacer    Pacer International has named Michael Uremovich vice chairman of the Concord, Calif.-based logistics and transportation provider.
   Uremovich was a partner in the San Francisco-based consulting firm Manalytics International, and has held senior marketing positions at the former Southern Pacific Railroad, American President Cos. and Lee Way Motor Freight. He also has held senior management positions in the transportation practices units of consulting firms Booz Allen and Hamilton, and Coopers & Lybrand.
   In his newly created position, Uremovich will have direct operating responsibility for the company's international, supply chain services, and warehousing and distribution services business units, in addition to involvement in other activities.
   Uremovich will be based at the offices of the company's retail division, Pacer Global Logistics, in Dublin, Ohio.
