Robinson joins Choice Logistics

Robinson joins Choice Logistics Choice Logistics, a specialist in parts logistics, said it has hired Charles “Chuck” Robinson as vice president of global operations.
   “Chuck’s diverse background in logistics and his expansive knowledge of international logistics will help lead Choice to the next level in our global expansion,” said Michael Katz, the company’s chief executive officer.
   Choice Logistics has 346 strategic stocking locations and seven regional distribution centers in more than 80 countries on five continents, all providing time-definite delivery for “mission critical” parts.
   Choice said it plans to continue its global expansion in 2008, adding a significant number of locations, primarily in Latin America, Europe and the Far East.
   Robinson brings more than 12 years of supply chain and operations experience to Choice. Most recently, he worked at Starbucks Coffee Co., where he directed distribution activities for several regions of more than 500 retail stores and created a new logistics and distribution strategy in the United Kingdom.
   Previously he held a variety of logistics positions for Emerson in Slovakia and the United Kingdom, and for Ericsson Telecommunications, in Dallas, U.K. and Sweden.
