Fort Worth, Texas-based American Airlines reported a 10.1 percent increase in system cargo ton miles to 2.2 million recorded for 2004 from 2 million in 2003. The December figures increased 10.9 percent to 191,633 from 172,756 in December 2003.
Chicago-based United Airlines saw a 5.4 percent increase for system cargo ton miles for 2004 to 2 million from 1.9 million in 2003. December saw an 18.7 percent rise to 181,815 from 153,187 for December 2003.
