SCO LOGISTICS LANDS TWO CONTRACTS

SCO LOGISTICS LANDS TWO CONTRACTS    SCO Logistics Inc., which specializes in transportation execution solutions for the chemical industry, has recently signed contracts with Baker Petrolite Co. of Houston and ASHTA Chemicals Inc. of Ashtabula, Ohio.
   The contract with BPC, a major producer and marketer of specialty chemicals for the oil field industry and a division of Houston-based Baker Hughes Inc., will provide the company with Web-based visibility and optimization services to effective manage their inbound and outbound shipments.
   The contract with ASHTA, a producer and marketer of potassium-based chemicals, will provide Web-based request-for-quote services regarding the company's bulk tank truck transportation.
   Northbrook, Ill.-based SCO Logistics' solutions enable chemical shippers access to shipment execution, optimization, request-for-quote processing and rating tools, all through a single ASP platform.
