BA revenue up 21.4% on higher yield

BA revenue up 21.4% on higher yield British Airways World Cargo said Friday it’s half-year revenue was up 21.4 percent after factoring in exchange rate fluctuations, but did not release information on profits.
   BA said volume rose 2 percent while capacity was down 3.2 percent from the same period in 2007. The British carrier’s financial year begins in April.
   Revenue rose to roughly $575 million for the first six months of the year, with yield up 18.8 percent.
   “Traffic has remained steady out of most areas including the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and South Asia, due in part to the improved product mix which has helped to drive yield,' said Sean Doyle, financial controller BA World Cargo
