BDP selects G-Log software for Xpedion platform

BDP selects G-Log software for Xpedion platform    BDP International, a provider of freight logistics management services, said Tuesday it has contracted with G-Log to deploy its Global Command and Control Center software as a foundation component of BDP’s Xpedion operating platform.
   The concept behind BDP’s multi-year, multimillion-dollar Xpedion project is to build a Web-based operating and IT infrastructure that can manage all international shipments in one place. Using G-Log’s software, BDP will introduce the first phase of carrier rate management onto its Xpedion platform later this fall.
   For longer-term delivery, BDP and G-Log are jointly developing an additional 3PL export and import functionality for the GC3 software, BDP said in a statement.
   BDP is based in Philadelphia. G-Log is based in Shelton, Conn.
