U.S. air cargo growth neared 12% in November

U.S. air cargo growth neared 12% in November    Air freight and express international cargo carried by U.S. airlines rose about 12 percent to 1.09 billion revenue ton-miles in November from 974 million in November 2003, the U.S. Air Transport Association reported.
   Showing a continuation of the double-digit growth trend seen last year, the November statistics brought total air freight and express international traffic to 11.1 billion ton-miles for the first 11 months of 2004, 11 percent more than in the same period of 2003.
   Freight and express activity increased 14 percent to 568 million revenue ton-miles on Pacific routes in November. Freight and express traffic on Atlantic routes in November was 418 million ton-miles, up 11 percent.
   The traffic increase on Latin routes was 7 percent, as 104 million ton-miles were flown in November.
