Seago, Arkas to commence Black Sea Service

Ocean carrier Maersk Line’s subsidiary Seago Line will provide three vessels, while Arkas Line will deploy one vessel on the weekly loop, which is scheduled to commence next month.    Liner carriers Seago Line and Arkas Line will launch the weekly Black Sea Service next month.
   The Black Sea Service will have a rotation of Damietta, Port Said East, Ambarli (Marport), Constanta, Odessa, Chornomorsk, Novorossiysk, Constanta, Ambarli (Marport), Port Said East, Ashdod and Damietta.
   The loop is expected to commence with the July 5 sailing of the Conti Basel from Damietta, Seago said.
   A total of four vessels with an average capacity of 6,000 TEUs will operate on the Black Sea Service, with Seago operating three of the vessels and Arkas supplying one vessel.
   In addition, Hapag-Lloyd of Germany announced participation on the service.
   Seago, which is a subsidiary of Danish ocean carrier Maersk Line, specializes in short-sea and feeder services throughout the Mediterranean, North Atlantic, Black Sea and Baltic Sea.
   Based out of Turkey, Arkas operates throughout the Mediterranean, Africa and the Black Sea.
