Export volume has slightly outpaced import volume, but import volume is growing at a faster clip (24.8 percent) to 15,432 TEUs.
Last year, total throughput rose 4 percent to 181,100 TEUs.
However, the port has seen a 33.8 percent decline in breakbulk tonnage in the first two months to 119,475 tons. Grain tonnage has fallen 16.7 percent to 716,865 tons. Automobile throughput was unchanged at 34,964 units.
Total tonnage is down 5.8 percent to 2.2 million tons.
