Scandinavian Airline System reported a pretax loss of 22 million krona
($2.6 million) in the first quarter, compared with a pretax profit of 613
million krona last year.
SAS said costs rose and traffic slowed amid greater competition from new
small airline entrants. Revenue increased 1.6 percent to 9.621 billion
krona.
SAS said it will cut capacity and close some routes to boost profits.
