John Jurgutis and other members of the ISF team are also moving to the new unit.
There is no change in the management or points of contact for ISF because DiNucci will retain responsibility for the program.
DiNucci, who until recently also led the agency's 100 percent container scanning program as director of the Secure Freight Initiative, said at an import-export seminar in Los Angeles organized by the American Association of Exporters and Importers that his other responsibilities will include cargo and vessel manifest systems and development of the multimodal manifest in the Automated Commercial Environment.
He will report to Todd Owen, executive director of cargo and conveyance security.
DiNucci's new manifest duties could help smooth out ISF procedures, which have been complicated by difficulties getting the bill of lading number from the carrier manifest to make sure the ISF is filed on time.
In other personnel news, Kevin Weeks, director of field operations for the Los Angeles district is moving to Boston in the same capacity, said Anne Maricich, assistant port director for trade at Los Angeles International Airport.
A new Los Angeles director of field operations has not been named yet.
Lou Samenfink, executive director of the Cargo Systems Program in the Office of Information Technology, announced his retirement several weeks ago. ' Eric Kulisch
