Pregis app fixes packing problems

   Pregis Corp., which develops protective packaging to minimize environmental impact, has launched a new “On Point” iPad app to help logistics personnel make protective packaging decisions around individual product requirements.
   The app also allows customers to contact Pregis’ staff and distribution partners for assistance in acquiring needed materials.
   The assessment checklist service collects data around packaging categories – cushioning, void fill, block and brace, surface protection, and containment – and presents recommendations with a chart matrix matching Pregis products to customer needs.
   The company said its Pregis On Point app has been successfully field-tested by the its sales team and distributor network for the past three months.  Partners can download the free app by visiting the Website.
   Pregis currently operates 25 facilities in 10 countries in North America and Europe.
