UPS LOGISTICS GROUP NAMES SENIOR VP MARKETING AND STRATEGIC PLANNING    The UPS Logistics Group has named Laura R. Peters senior vice president of marketing and strategic planning for the Atlanta-based provider of global supply chain solutions.
   Peters, a 15-year veteran of marketing, joins the company from Burnham, an Atlanta-based third-party logistics provider, where she was vice president of marketing. UPS Logistics Group acquired one of Burnham's national service parts operating network last June, to expand its own service parts logistics infrastructure.
   She will have overall marketing responsibility for the UPS Logistics Group, and will establish and lead the marketing organization for the company's four primary business units: supply chain management, service parts logistics, transportation services and logistics technologies.
