Hanjin to change Asia/Pacific Southwest services

Hanjin to change Asia/Pacific Southwest services    Seoul, South Korea-based Hanjin Shipping will later this month alter the port rotations on its weekly Pacific Express Service (PSX) and Pacific Southwest Pendulum Express Service (PDS).
   The PSX, on which fellow CKYH alliance partner Yang Ming takes slots, will replace calls at Hong Kong with Shanghai. The PSX uses five 7,455-TEU ships and will have a revised rotation of: Yantian, Kaohsiung, Shanghai, Kwangyang, Busan, Long Beach, Oakland, Seattle, Busan and Yantian. The vessel “Hanjin Boston” will start the revised schedule when it departs Yantian April 16.
   The Europe/Asia/U.S. West Coast PDS will add calls at Port Kelang and Chiwan. The service uses 12 vessels averaging 4,600 TEUs and has a revised port rotation of: Le Havre, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Port Kelang, Singapore, Yantian, Hong Kong, Osaka, Tokyo, Long Beach, Oakland, Tokyo, Osaka, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Chiwan, Singapore, Colombo and back to Le Havre.
   United Arab Shipping Co. and Hanjin’s German subsidiary Senator Lines take slots on the PDS between Asia and Europe while “K” Line takes slots in the transpacific section of the service.
