TIPTON NAMED VP AT WALLENIUS LINES HOLDING    Wallenius Lines Holding has appointed Doug Tipton vice president of business planning.
   Wallenius Lines Holding operates U.S.-flag vessel operator American Roll-On Roll-Off Carrier; Defense Department auto handler American Auto Logistics; and American Logistics Network, a logistics systems developer.
   Tipton is responsible for increasing Wallenius Lines Holding’s overall work in logistics, shipping and related business, the company said.
   Tipton was president and chief executive officer for American Port Services. Previously, he was president and chief executive officer at Contship Lines in North America. He has also held management positions at Mitsui OSK, Maersk, and Sea-Land Service.
