The Coast Guard is investigating the cause of a grounding of a passenger vessel carrying 80 people near the Charles Point Yacht Club in Peekskill, N.Y., around 4 p.m.
The Tahiti Queen, a 50-foot passenger vessel, was returning from a Mother’s Day cruise when it ran aground 15 feet from the Charles Point Yacht Club. No injuries were reported.
Passengers were transported to a nearby pier using two boats. Once the passengers were safely removed, the vessel was freed.
