Both loops are dedicated to trade between North Europe and Montreal, Quebec.
The AT1 will remove its eastbound Liverpool call, which will result in a revised port rotation of Antwerp, Bremerhaven, Le Havre, Liverpool, Montreal and Antwerp.
This change will take effect with the eastbound 96E45 voyage of the MSC Alyssa, which will depart Montreal Nov. 8 and arrive in Antwerp Nov. 18, Hapag-Lloyd said.
MSC, which dubs this service the Montreal Express 1, provides two vessels on the AT1. OOCL, which refers to the service as the GEX1, and Hapag-Lloyd provide one vessel each. Together, the four vessels have an average capacity of 3,574 TEUs, according to ocean carrier schedule and capacity database BlueWater Reporting.
The AT2 will add a call at Southampton, which will result in a revised port rotation of Southampton, Antwerp, Hamburg, Montreal and Southampton.
In addition, the AT2 will increase its vessel count from three to four.
These changes will take effect with the eastbound 59E46 voyage of the Montreal Express, which will depart Montreal Nov. 5 and arrive in Southampton Nov. 15.
Hapag-Lloyd provides two vessels on the AT2 and OOCL, which dubs the service the GEX2, provides one of the vessels. Together, the three vessels have an average vessel capacity of 4,402 TEUs.
The service will add the 4,045-TEU Hapag-Lloyd operated Longavi as its fourth vessel, according to the German ocean carrier’s online service schedule.
According to BlueWater Reporting’s Port Dashboard tool, only two other services are dedicated to trade between North Europe and Canada, meaning they do not call any other regions: the TA4, jointly operated by Maersk Line and CMA CGM, and the Canada Express 2, operated by MSC.
