CMA CGM hikes rates on multiple trades

CMA CGM hikes rates on multiple trades    French liner carrier CMA CGM said Friday it is raising rates on a host of trades from March 1 through April 1.
   The rates increases on March 1 are:
   ' From northern Europe to the Far East, shipments of waste commodities (paper and plastic) will increase $200 per 40-foot container.
   ' From India to European and Mediterranean ports, $250 per 20-foot container and $500 per 40-foot container or 40-foot high-cube container.
   ' From all northern European ports to all Red Sea ports, $100 per 20-foot container and $200 per 40-foot container peak season surcharge.
   On March 15, increases are:
   ' From Pakistan to European and Mediterranean ports, $250 per 20-foot container and $500 per 40-foot container.
   ' From all northern European ports to all Middle East Gulf ports, $100 per 20-foot container and $200 per 40-foot container peak season surcharge.
   On April 1, increases are:
   ' From northern European and Mediterranean ports to Australia and New Zealand, $200 per 20-foot container and $400 per 40-foot container.
   ' From Mediterranean, Black Sea and northern African ports to the U.S. East Coast, $300 per 20-foot container and $400 per 40-foot container.
   ' From northern Europe to the East Coast of South America, $150 per 20-foot container.
   ' From northern Europe to Mexico, $300 per 20-foot container and $400 per 40-foot container.
   ' From the East Coast of South America to Mediterranean, Middle East Gulf and northern European ports, $200 per 20-foot dry container and $250 per 20-foot reefer container.
   ' From Asia to West Africa, $250 per 20-foot container.
   ' From Europe to Indian Ocean ports, 250 euros per 20-foot container.
   ' From all origins except Europe to Indian Ocean ports, $350 per 20-foot container.
   CMA CGM also said it will quote the port of origin terminal handling charges separately from North Europe to the Far East sea freight for all cargos (including waste commodities), from April 1.
