ITC maintains antidumping duty orders for Indian and Thai shrimp    The U.S. International Trade Commission will maintain antidumping duty orders on certain frozen warmwater shrimp and prawns from India and Thailand.
   In Jan. 6, the ITC determined U.S. shrimpers were economically harmed by imports of certain non-canned shrimp and prawns from Brazil, China, Ecuador, India, Thailand and Vietnam. The Commerce Department determined that these importers were being sold in the United States at less than fair value.
   At that time, the ITC cited concerns about the possible impact of the December 2004 tsunami on the shrimping industries of Thailand and India. On April 25, the ITC said it would conduct changed circumstances reviews to determine whether revoking the antidumping duty orders on imports of certain frozen warmwater shrimp from India and Thailand would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of injury to the U.S. industry.
