Hyundai joins Hapag-Lloyd Atlantic shuttle

Hyundai joins Hapag-Lloyd Atlantic shuttle    Hyundai Merchant Marine has joined a Hapag-Lloyd operated transatlantic shuttle service between Antwerp and New York, according to American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data.
   Hyundai becomes the fourth charter on the service, called AES, which is operated with three Hapag-Lloyd ships, with an average capacity of 2,716 TEUs. Hapag-Lloyd's partners in the Grand Alliance (NYK Line and OOCL) as well as Hamburg S'd all charters slots on the service, which is designed to provide fast nine-day transit times in both directions.
   Hyundai has also joined an Emirates Shipping Line service between the Indian Subcontinent and ports in eastern Africa. Emirates’ GIA service has a rotation of Nhava Sheva, Karachi, Dubai, Mombasa, Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam, Nacala, Beira, and Nhava Sheva. According to ComPair Data, it is operated with three vessels averaging 1,862 TEUs.
