Miami airport issues security warning signs Miami-Dade Aviation Department has issued a series of warning signs from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security on how to spot vehicles that may be carrying 'improvised explosive devices,' or IEDs.
   A communiqu' issued to aviation industry professionals by Lauren Stover, assistant director for security and communications, said to be on the alert for the following indicators:
   * Vehicles that appear to be sagging from heavy weight in the rear end.
   * Vehicles illegally parked near authorized vehicle entrances or crowded access points.
   * Large containers, bags, boxes, barrels or tanks on seats or in cargo areas.
   * Vehicles that smell of gasoline, propane, acids or chemicals.
   * Vehicle cargo areas covered with a tarp or blanket.
   * Visible wires, switches, batteries or antennae inside or on a vehicle.
   * Vehicles with covered or heavily tinted windows.
   Anyone that sees any of those signs should contact the airport dispatch or communications center.
