CKYH reshapes Asia/North Europe network
CKYH Alliance carriers said Wednesday they are adjusting their service network on loops between Asia and northern Europe from early April.
COSCO Container Lines, 'K' Line, Yang Ming and Hanjin Shipping will amend the rotations of three of their five existing services on the trade and add a sixth service, as American Shipper reported in mid-February.
CKYH's Asia/Northern Europe loops are named NE 1-5. The new loop will be dubbed NE 6 and will call at Korean ports dropped off the NE 5 rotation. Once the changes are made, the alliance's network will look like this:
' NE 1 will have a rotation of Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Nansha, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Singapore, Yantian and Shanghai. Changes include dropped Algeciras calls and an eastbound call at Nansha. According to American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data, the service operates with nine vessels (four each from COSCO and Hanjin, and one from 'K' Line) with an average capacity of 9,119 TEUs.
' NE 2, with an unchanged rotation of Xiamen, Kaohsiung, Yantian, Singapore, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Felixstowe, Antwerp, Jeddah, Singapore, Shekou, Hong Kong and Xiamen. It operates with nine vessels (five from Yang Ming and four from 'K' Line) averaging 8,178 TEUs.
