Port of Montreal, terminals and CN in pact    The Montreal Port Authority said it has reached agreements to improve the flow of containers through the port.
   The agreements are with Canadian National Railway and two container terminal companies — Termont Montreal, which operates the Maisonneuve Terminal, and Montreal Gateway Terminals Partnership, which operates the CAST and RACINE container terminals.
   The agreements establish key performance indicators to improve the fluidity of the gateway, the port said. These include specific metrics for container dwell times at terminals, rail-car availability, rail on-time performance, and vessel performance.
   “Our new service agreements reflect the commitment of the port’s key stakeholders to supply chain collaboration and to improved efficiency and productivity of our container processing systems,” said Sylvie Vachon, president and chief executive officer of the MPA. “This bodes well for the future and will help strengthen the Port of Montreal’s competitiveness.”
