Horizon’s Zuckerman joins Williams Mullen

   The law firm Williams Mullen said Thursday that Horizon Lines attorney Robert S. “Bob” Zuckerman joined the firm as counsel.
   Zuckerman will practice in the firm’s Virginia Beach, Va., office and join its maritime practice, focusing on transportation matters, including domestic and international shipping, marine terminal operators and containerized shipping trucking services, arbitrations (domestic and international), maritime labor relations, regulatory and customs.
   “Bob Zuckerman’s extensive experience in maritime and antitrust law will bolster the solutions we bring to our many clients in the transportation and logistics industry,” said Thomas R. Frantz, president and chief executive officer of Williams Mullen, in a statement.
   Zuckerman will continue to serve as vice president of law and government affairs at Horizon, where he has held several positions over the past decade. He previously served as assistant field office chief at the U.S. Justice Department’s Antitrust Division, where he worked on a president’s Deregulation Task Force. He also held an in-house legal counsel position at Sea-Land.
