AirNet Systems awarded new routes

AirNet Systems awarded new routes AirNet Systems Inc. said it had been awarded a contract to and has begun to operate three routes for an large integrated carrier. The company said it will operate weekday routes that support regional hubs in the United States, allowing the customer to accelerate deliveries to smaller markets more efficiently. But it declined to reveal the identity of the company.
   AirNet also reported that Dave Newman, an 18-year industry veteran, has rejoined AirNet in the position of manager ' dedicated flight services.
   “We are very excited about the addition of these new routes. They are a good fit for AirNet’s specialized air transportation capabilities,” said Bruce D. Parker, chairman and chief executive officer of AirNet. “We intend to pursue additional opportunities through dedicated flights for integrated express and cargo carriers.”
   AirNet operates just over 100 aircraft and provides transportation to banks and other companies, primarily those involved in the life sciences and media and entertainment industries.
