All-cargo flights on the route will operate every Sunday with the first service scheduled for Oct 7. The development is part of ABC's ongoing route expansion program, which saw the launch of a new Moscow/Tokyo/Krasnoyarsk service on Friday.
Israel is a strong cargo market, generating shipments including computer software, industrial equipment, chemicals, agricultural products and perishables, the airline said in a statement. The new service linking Tel Aviv and Moscow aims to take advantage of growing trade relationships between Israeli and Russian businesses.
AirBridge, the scheduled cargo airline of Russia's Volga-Dnepr Group, currently operates 21 flights a week linking gateways in Asia — China and Japan — with Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Luxembourg in Europe via Russian hubs in Moscow and Krasnoyarsk in the Russia Far East.
