The joint venture, Terminal Porte Oc'ane, has a 36-year concession agreement with the Port Authority of Le Havre to operate the terminal, which is due to open in fall 2007. The terminal will have two 350-meter quays with an option for a third berth.
The first terminal at Port 2000, Terminal de France, opened in April and is jointly operated by CMA CGM and G'n'rale de Manutention Portuaire with a capacity of 675,000 TEUs.
Mediterranean Shipping Co. and Perrigault have been selected to operate six berths at a third terminal, which “will be completed according to trade growth and operators’ requirements,” the Port Authority of Le Havre said.
After full completion, Port 2000 will provide 12 quay berths each 350 meters long, with a total quay length of 4.2 kilometers.
