The refrigerated trucking firm said it was following through on a plan announced earlier this month to sell about 435 dry van trailers and reduce its fleet of tractors by 290.
Russell Stubbs, president and chief executive officer of FFEI, said “we have successfully worked with our dry van customers to insure there are no service interruptions during our transition.”
He added that his company “will continue to provide dry freight services through use of our refrigerated fleet on lanes that make economic sense for both our customers and our company.”
