Virgin names Epstein VP Americas sales

Virgin Atlantic Cargo has promoted Marie Epstein to regional vice president of sales for the Americas.
She will be based in New York and succeeds James Williams who moved back to Australia for family reasons.
Epstein, a 28-year industry veteran, was formerly the airline’s regional sales manager in the Americas, having joined the carrier in 2010 from Delta Air Lines/Northwest Airlines Cargo where she was director of strategic accounts. She started her career with Network Brokers International in New York. Epstein later held sales and account management roles in the United States with Pakistan International Airlines, Pan Am and American Airlines.
For Virgin Atlantic, the U.S. air cargo market now accounts for 25 percent of revenues. The airline began serving the market in 1984 between London and Newark N.J.
