Senator Lines leaves Montreal/North Europe loop    Senator Lines has decided to stop taking slots on the weekly Montreal/North Europe “Europe Canada Express” joint service of CMA CGM, Lloyd Triestino and Zim Integrated Shipping Services citing “severe schedule irregularities.”
   Senator Lines marketed the service as “ECS”. “Various dry-dock and repair scenarios led to a practical collapse of schedule,” Senator Lines said in a statement.
   “The scenario of the last months is definitely not in line with our service standards and our understanding of customer’s satisfaction,” said Axel Meier, manager of Senator Lines’ European regional office.
   Senator Lines started taking space on the “ECX” service in May 2004. Senator Lines will end its involvement on the service with the departure of “Golden Merchant I” from Montreal on May 1.
   Senator Lines is a vessel sharing partner with Canada Maritime on two weekly services to and from Montreal and ports in the Mediterranean.
