DHL speeds Europe-to-U.S. service

DHL speeds Europe-to-U.S. service DHL has reduced delivery times from multiple points in Europe to the United States, giving customers access to its international next-day service to all major metropolitan areas across the United States from six European countries.
   European markets receiving the upgraded service include:
   * The United Kingdom — Birmingham, Bradford, Leeds, Leicester, London, Manchester and Newcastle.
   * Germany — Cologne, D'sseldorf and Frankfurt.
   * France ' Paris.
   * The Netherlands ' Amsterdam.
   * Italy — Bergamo, Brescia, Bologna, Genoa, Milan, Rome, Turin and Verona.
   * Belgium — Mechelen.
   DHL said that earlier flight departure times from Europe to its principal air and ground hub in Wilmington, Ohio, and an extended air network supporting service from major European cities to DHL’s U.K. hub in East Midlands has enhanced connectivity along the transatlantic route.
   “This network enhancement will ensure customers are provided with the most competitive express service offering to and from the largest markets in Europe,” said Lindsay Birley, DHL’s executive vice president of international services.
   DHL is also planning to extend next-day service to the United States from additional European countries.
