Hamburg Sud taking slots on three services

Hamburg Sud taking slots on three services    German container line Hamburg Sud has joined three services as a slot buyer, according to research from American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data.
   The line has joined MOL's CSW services between China and the East Coast of South America by way of South Africa. The round-the-Cape service has a rotation of Xingang, Dalian, Qingdao, Busan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Ngqura, Santos, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Paranagua, Sao Francisco do Sul, Santos, Rio de Janeiro, Cape Town, Ngqura, Singapore, Hong Kong and Xingang. It operates with 12 MOL vessels, with an average capacity of 4,565 TEUs. Hamburg Sud is not advertising the Xingang call.
   Hamburg Sud operates its own service on the trade, along with Alianca and Maersk Line, the 11-ship ASIA/ASAS service for which the German line provides nine of the vessels.
   Meanwhile, Hamburg Sud has joined another MOL service, the MZX between Singapore and southeastern Africa. The service has a rotation of Singapore, Port Louis, Durban, Maputo, Tamatave, and Singapore, but the German line is only marketing space on the leg between Singapore and Durban. The service operates with five MOL ships averaging 2,268 TEUs.
   Finally, Hamburg Sud has also joined an Evergreen service between China and India, the CIX2. The service has a rotation of Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Tanjung Pelepas, Port Klang, Mumbai, Karachi, Colombo, Port Kelang, Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore and Xingang. The service operates with six Evergreen vessels with an average capacity of 2,759 TEUs. Other slot buyers include Maersk Line and Safmarine. It's the only service for Hamburg Sud on the China/India trade, according to ComPair Data. ' Eric Johnson
