CCS and TAG are both in the business of collecting freight, demurrage and detention charges owed by shippers and consignees to ocean carriers and terminal operators.
Terms of the purchase were not disclosed. However, CCS said it has retained Gladys Figueroa, formerly of TAG, to help with the transition.
Founded in 2002, CCS is based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. According to the company's Web site, Dave Herring, Jerry Peterson and Angel Torres are the three shareholders.
