Americas loop to double up for fruit season    A group of liner carriers operating a service between the West Coast of South America and U.S. East Coast will amending the rotation to make double calls at the South American ports during the upcoming fruit season.
   The service, dubbed Americas by partners CCNI, CSAV and Libra-Montemar, and AGAS by Hamburg Sud, will have a rotation of San Vicente, San Antonio, Callao, Guiyaquil, Cartagena, Port Everglades, New York-New Jersey, Baltimore, Charleston, Port Everglades, Cartagena, Manzanillo, Guiyaquil, Callao, San Antonio and San Vicente.
   The change goes into effect Dec. 30. The service is has been operated with six vessels (two each from CCNI and Hamburg Sud and one each from CSAV and Libra-Montemar) with an average capacity of 2,694 TEUs, according to American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data.
