UPS upgrades customs brokerage services

UPS upgrades customs brokerage services    UPS Supply Chain Solutions, a unit of Atlanta-based UPS, said it has made improvements to its customs brokerage service that allow better status visibility for shipments and higher imaging for document retrieval.
   The upgrades keep customers “proactively informed about their international shipments in transit,” said Norm Schenk, who leads brokerages services for UPS Supply Chain Solutions.
   “The advent of more stringent security regulations, increasing documentation requirements, and advice notification about goods before they arrive at international destinations means that customs clearance is much more complex and unpredictable,” Schenk explained.
