DHL to use eco-friendly vessel for Venezuela delivery DHL Global Forwarding will be using a new, environmentally friendly vessel to deliver a complete particleboard factory from Bremen, Germany to Venezuela.
   The MS Beluga SkySails, an innovative multipurpose vessel that uses the SkySails towing kite system, will set sail early next week from Bremen, DHL said Thursday. DHL Global Forwarding is the ocean and air freight carrier of the Deutsche Post World Net Group.
   The vessel will be used for eight partial shipments for DHL customer Dieffenbacher. The factory will be assembled in Venezuela for a government-sponsored housing project.
   The vessel has a huge towing kite that provides additional thrust at sea for a vessel, helping to reduce fuel consumption, costs and emissions, DHL said.
