TAPA names board members

TAPA names board members    Thorsten Neumann, Nokia's head of security for Central Europe, Middle East and Africa, has been re-elected for a two-year term as chairman of the Transported Asset Protection Association for the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
   TAPA promotes best practices for supply chain security within industry and presses their adoption by regulatory bodies to expand compliance. It was originally formed to help companies with high-value assets stem losses from cargo theft.
   David Reid of TNT and George Wiessing of HP will continue as vice chairman and treasurer, respectively.
   Marcel Saarloos, also of HP, will continue to be in charge of freight security requirements. Paul Linders of CEVA Logistics will focus on air cargo security standards and Luc Van Herck of Nike will lead truck security initiatives.
   Other incumbent board members are Jason Breakwell of Rutges Cargo, Mark Schwarz of Eurowatch, and Gilad Solnik of DHL Express. Tony Kavanagh of Sandisk is a new member with responsibility for training.
